Jan 21-27

I’m so glad there are others that appreciate simple planning. I love when my planner looks clean and sharp.

I decided to use the EC stickers this week in a matching color.

I’ve successfully figured out how to use my planner for work, personal, and our dogs. Each week pretty much looks the same but I love the simplicity of the repetition and it keeps me on track.

I fill in more as the week progresses. I especially like checking off the boxes when I’ve completed a task!!

Happy Planning!

A Year Later…

Wow! It’s been a year since I posted.

I’m still using an Erin Condren planner and currently am enjoying the colorful vertical for both my regular planner and my Bright Line Eating Health journal.

Here is last week in my planner. I’ve found that my happy place involves minimal stickers and simple black ink with lots of hand drawn check boxes.

I’ve settled into using the top box for work, middle for personal appointments, etc., and the bottom box to manage the daily needs of our dog kennel. The sidebar is my To Do list and I usually put very early morning needs and the weather across the top. I also have a fun countdown for spring break. The top left box will be an overview of classroom assignments for my job, but this week I listed my 2018 goals.

I’ve lost count but I think this is my 6th EC planner and I was smitten the first time I saw one and have been using it daily ever since. I’ve tried every layout but always come back to the vertical.

I plan to be more active on this blog and would love to see you in my FB groups! There are a bunch of them, all beginning with the words “My Erin Condren”.

Happy Planning!

My 3 Planners

Yes, I’m one of those people that uses multiple planners. It just works better for me. I have too much going on and too many things to manage for it to all fit into 1 planner. I like to keep things pretty simple and have fun each week getting them set up to keep me on track in all areas of my life.

PERSONAL DAILY PLANNER

The Erin Condren hourly works best to show my main schedule of events. I block out my days and appointments in this planner. I reserve some time each day for “kennel” and my next planner is what I do during those blocks of time.

HOME AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PLANNER

This planner is mainly for to do lists to keep my home, yard, and dog business in order. I love putting that little check mark in the box and I’m working on my consistency in getting everything done each day. I use the Flylady zones to stay focused each week and while I don’t get everything done, I try to hit the most important or dirtiest areas each day.

HEALTH AND EXERCISE JOURNAL – BRIGHT LINE EATING

This planner has been my rock during my weight loss journey. Every night I plan my food for the next day. I track my steps and my water and I do core exercises almost every day. I’m also trying to regain some flexibility and not lose my ability to do a handstand.

Last week was a little hot and miss with tracking my food, but an immediate “rezoom” and I’m back on track.

Erin Condren planners bring me a lot of joy and they really are very functional for my lifestyle. I also use a Deluxe Monthly for my finances, but that will have to be another blog post!!

November Budget

Prepping for the November budget!

I’m trying it in my regular planner on this page before the month. Each column is 7 days with the last one being a few days more. The known expenses are written in. The other spending will be listed as it happens.

I penciled things in for October about midway through the month. I then color coded each category and plan to add up the totals in the bottom box.

I used the quote page for misc notes. For October that included a breakdown of the Verizon bill and what each family member owed plus a few page flags for PP and eBay spending which doesn’t come out of the checking account but my PP balance instead. Ive learned that several months later, when it only has the merchant name, I have no idea what I bought!

I really want his to work because I already have a food planner plus a home/business planner that I actively maintain, and while I love the Deluxe Monthly budget setups I’ve seen on YouTube, I just can’t take on a whole different planner just for money. Plus, money happens daily so putting it into my daily planner just makes sense to me.

Counting Days Stickers

Owl Plan With You on Etsy is a sticker shop known for her custom stickers for the Erin Condren Teacher Planner. As I was browsing through her shop, I found these daily stickers that would be perfect for counting the days of the school year. I added them to my cart and had them sent my way!!

A few hours later I realized that these would be perfect for my BLE food planner because we also keep track of the number of days we’ve been doing Bright Line Eating meals!!

My stickers arrived today!!

They are numbered #1-200.

I had written in all the days till the end of 2017. I decided to put the stickers over all my handwritten numbers.

This is my past week in my food journal. I added the daily counter stickers at the top of my days.

This is my week ready for this week.

I’m just loving this planner and my system of tracking my food and exercise.

Most of my stickers are KAD (www.krissyanne.com), PCD (www.plannerchickdesigns.com) or Libbie & Co. on Etsy.
